The Takfiri assault on the mosque in the Imamia neighborhood of Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, has resulted in the martyrdom of several worshippers and wounded many others.

Local sources reported that clashes broke out that have expanded into the Gulbahar area of the city.

Pakistan is regarded as one of the key operational arenas and sanctuaries for Takfiri and militant groups.

These extremist groups have repeatedly engaged in killings, mass massacres, bombings, and looting against Muslims living in the country.
